West Lebanon, Ind. - Earl Cronkhite, 66, Warren County farmer, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday (June 25, 1956) at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been hospitalized seven days. Mr. Cronkhite was born Feb. 21, 1890, son of Leroy and Gertrude Starry Cronkhite. He married Grace McIntosh Feb. 21, 1915, and she survives. He was a member of the Marshfield Presbyterian Church and Jordan Lodge 612, AF&AM. Surviving are two sons, Daniel J. of Dallas, Tex., and Kenneth Eugene of West Lebanon; a daughter, Mary Rose Davis of "Williamsport, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Watkins, and a daughter, Leta Gertrude. The body is at the McCloud & Machledt Funeral Home in West Lebanon where friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. DST Wednesday at the Marshfield Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William H. Myers officiating. Burial will be in West Lebanon Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.
